The story of Heckman Insulation dates back over 80 years, to 1942, when Charles A. Heckman Sr. began his career sweeping floors at the E.J. Bartells Company (now Distribution International). By the time he retired, he had risen to the position of CEO and Chairman of the Board.
Charles’ son, followed in his father’s footsteps, learning the insulation trade while working alongside him at E.J. Bartells. In 1993, Chuck decided to take the leap and founded Heckman Incorporated.
After Chuck’s passing in 2008, his youngest son, James A. Heckman, took the company’s helm.
In 2020, Chuck’s eldest son, Jeffrey (Jeff) C. Heckman, stepped in to lead the company. Under his guidance, Heckman Incorporated flourished into the successful business it is today—blending strong family values with the capability to bid, bond, and complete any sized project.
